Traditional Market ** Souq Waqif

'Souq' is d arabic word for 'market'. There r variety souqs to shop for Arabian handicraft, Indian spices, local perfumes, falcon n much more where u can bargaining for ur purchase..

Orxy was a mascot of Asian Games in 2006 which hosted by Qatar.

Vvvv......she's my colleague ~~~> Flora!

d building behind me is a hotel....not sure abt d rate!!!!!! should b expensive.......

I saw many long-barrelled guns were displayed on d floor, so took a chance to snap a photo wif d seller.

" Hi^^ im Falcon, sibling of hawk! Do u reliase my eyes r cover by eye pad??? it use to avoid attack. I always accompany my Arabian master to hunt in d dessert"

d selling price of falcon is Qatari Riyal (QR) 5k or even more It depends on d breed of falcon! [USD1 = QR3.65]

I always go to Gulf Exchange to change money coz can get better rate there. For a true arabic experience, I had tried d delicious Shwarma wif Flora in d Shwarma Stand which near to d souq. [shwarma= arabic pitta bread packed wif meats n combined wif salad and spicy sauce ]
