Geneva, Switzerland

19 April 2008 ==> Geveva, Switzerland

I was so exciting to operate 7 days GVAEWR(Geneva & New York) flight with my badgemates - Flora & May.

We have a night in Geneva before continue to New York. After bathed, we took public bus reached to downtown - Bel-Air.

I believed that the mountains and alpine scenery is what draws most people to the Switzerland. It is surrounded by two mountain chains, the Alps and the Jura.

Dominating the Geneva harbour is the large fountain in Geneva - Jet d’Eau (Water Jet), a 140m high water fountain that operates from Mar to Oct and is beautiful illuminated at night. . It being featured on the city's official tourism web site and on the official logo for Geneva's hosting of the 2008 UEFA Championships.

24 April 2008 ==> Geneva, Switzerland

Welcome back to Geneva again after New York Flight.

Geneva is the second-most populous city in Switzerland (the French-speaking), situated where the Rhone River exits Lake Geneva.

We can’t miss boating on the lake Geneva.

Because of ??? reason, we didn't go to Snow Mountain - Mont Blanc. Nevertheless, we still have fun here........Travel companion does cause the different!!!!

It looks alike Sakura....

Yummy.....ate ice-cream in the chilling day!!

Certainly....i'm more interested on this adorable doggy!!!

Oop.....it has changed to UEFA football now instead of the Jet d'Eau fountain 3days ago.....

hahahaah.......never contempt on girls!!!! We are strong^^

Botanical Clock???

Dip into the traditional cheese fondue.

Don’t let price deter us from enjoying great shopping, particularly at the authentic watch.

New York, USA

20 April 2008 ==> 1st day - New York , USA

We arrived in Newark Internatinal Airport in the evening, so we didn't visit any place on the 1st day.

It is a freezing night, Flora and me were running to nearby supermarket for grocery. We got the Mc Donald burger, chips, coke and so on. After dinner, we were chatting in May's room.

21 April 2008 ==> 2nd day - New York, USA

Affectionately referred to as the " Big Apple", i think New York is about more than that famous lady with the torch.

Manhattan.................we are on the way!!!

Staten Island Ferry (USD12) provides stunning views of the cosmopolitan city and the colossal Statue of Liberty.

getting closer n closer to the most recognizable icons of the US - Statue of Liberty.....Statue was presented to the United States by the people of France in October 28, 1886 to commemorates the centennial of the signing of the US declaration of independence and is a gesture of friendship from France to the United States.

there was many seagulls were flying around.

Don't you ever think this is similiar to blossom cherry ( Sakura ) ??????

The statue is of a robed woman holding a torch, and is made of a sheeting of pure copper, hung on a framework of steel (originally puddled iron) with the exception of the flame of the torch, which is coated in gold leaf (originally made of copper and later altered to hold glass panes.) It stands atop a rectangular stonework pedestal with a foundation in the shape of an irregular eleven-pointed star. The statue is 151 ft (46 m) tall, but with the pedestal and foundation, it is 305 ft (93 m) tall.

omg, winter jacket save me in the freezing day !!

Eugene Viollet-le-Duc was responsible for the choice of copper in the statue's construction and adoption of the repousse technique, where a malleable metal is hammered on the reverse side

Every single part of the Statue is meaningful^^ = knowledge, freedom.....

The internal structure of Statue was engineered by Maurice Koechlin ( Chief Engineer of Gustave Eiffel's engineering company and designer of the Eiffel Tower).

We had seen the Ellis Island but .............not from this angle!

I'm so lucky to have Flora with me to explore " Big Apple". She is a great travel companion.

Water Taxi....have forgotten to check out the fare!!

Bye..............my lady!!

Which is the most charming?? Flowers or me???

The World Trade Center in NYC best known for its iconic 110-story twin towers (sometimes informally the WTC or Twin Towers) was a complex of seven buildings in Lower Manhattan that were attacked by Al-Qaeda on September 11, 2001.
The heroic fire fighters leaving a footprint in my heart no matter what.

New World Trade Center building construction stil in progression and expecting to complete in 2012.

Densely populated - There are as many tourists as there are citizens.....

oops...I encountered another mini Statue of Liberty!!

Shopping time......Macy is the largest department store in USA. Flora and me have bought many Coach bags!!! 11% discount for tourist.....

The Empire State Building is owned and managed by W&H Properties, a 102-story Art Deco skyscraper in New York City at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street.
It stood as the world's tallest building for more than forty years, from its completion in 1931 until construction of the World Trade Center's North Tower was completed in 1972. It became the tallest building in NYC and New York State after the destruction of the WTC in 2001.
But it only recalled me the " King Kong" movie!!! hahaha....

No doubt to have my all time favourite meal ** KFC ** as lunch.

The city is so called "The City That Never Sleeps", most probably due to its extensive 24-hour subway system and constant bustling of traffic and people.

yahoo......eventually found Hard Rock Cafe pin.

Times Square is is a major intersection in Manhattan, at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue and stretching from West 42nd to West 47th Streets. Its principally defined by its animated. digital advertisement and become a symbol of its city.
