** Osaka, Japan ** >> Wholesale Market

05 November 2008 ==> Osaka Japan

We arrived in Osaka in the evening on 5 Nov. 4 of us (3 F1 crews & 1 pilot) were deadheading (travel as passenger in uniform) to Osaka and operating night flight back to Doha on 6 Nov.

After 10hrs rest onboard, Aurelia, Mihaela (operating crew in my deadheading flight) and me were heading to the Namba right after changed in hotel.

It cost me USD6.70 to have marinated pork rice and pork soup.

06 November 2008 - Osaka, Japan

I took subway to Osaka Wholesale Market (exit 6, Tamagawa Station)from hotel (Nakafuto subway station) at 10.30am. (Return Fare=USD5.60)

Blue line shown in the machine are represented cold beverages and red line represented hot beverages.

Good to have hot coffee (USD1.25) in the morning to freshen up.

I'm afraid that most of the shops and stalls already closed in Osaka Wholesale Market. This is the place where all of the fish, fruit, and vegetables for the Kansai region arrive from around the world and are distributed to restaurants and grocers.

Grocery Shop.......i bought 5 in 1 pack instant vegetable noodle (USD 2.60).

Plenty of seaweed selections.

I think the kitchenware quite costly here. (etc. 1 bowl for USD10)

Oop...Miso paste.

Are they stil alive???

so fishy.....
Primary wholesalers conduct lively auction in which intermediate wholesalers compete with one another.

Osaka Wholesale Market (primarily for fish)

I was so scared to approach those eels.....even though they trapped in aquarium!!!!
