Central Madrid has a modern and extensive metro system. It’s clean and fast, although crowded in the rush hour (1EUR per destination). Each of its 11lines is distinguished by a colour and number at stations and on maps.

The Santiago Bernabéu is a football stadium in Madrid, Spain, home of Real Madrid. It has hosted the European Cup final on three separate occasions (in 1957, 1969 and 1980), and is scheduled to host the 2010 final.

The Neo-Mudéjar style Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas was inaugurated on June 17, 1931. It has a seating capacity of 25,000 and is regarded as the home of bullfighting in Spain. The bullfighting season starts in March and ends in December; bullfights are held every day during the San Isidro Fiesta, and every Sunday or holiday during the season. Bullfights start at 6 or 7pm and last for two to three hours.

it's crunchy...

On the day we visited, a puppet show in Plaza Mayor was drawing an inquisitive crowd.

The Plaza Mayor has been the scene of multitudinous events: markets, bullfights, soccer games, public executions, and, during the Spanish Inquistion, "autos de fe" against supposed heretics and the executions of those condemned to death.

We met our colleagues in the same restaurant by coicidence.

Next day early morning, Francisca and me continued to explore more tourism spots in Madrid. The metro fare in metro is consider reasonable, EUR1 per destination.
Madrid is a cosmopolitan metropolis of theatres, cinemas, opera houses and art galleries included the celebrated Prado. Although it lacks the spectacular Romanesque and Gothic Monuments of older Spanish cities, Madrid never fails to convey its own sense of grandeur.

Principe Pio is one of the popular department store in Madrid.
